This mixed media work on paper is made with layers of acrylic and graphite. This was created on to 160lb paper.
The art is matted to 8″ x 10″.
Sometimes I do some bold brush strokes, they work and I leave them alone. This is a very good day and makes me a happy artist with a piece of art I love. This doesn’t happen everyday, that’s what makes it special.
I do these explorations with paper, paint and dry media almost daily. I create them as a kind of creative meditation; intuitively pitching elements together and layering materials until a pleasing balance emerges.
