New water media on paper

Watercolor and gouache are new media for me. I always avoided them in the past because I thought if you messed up you had to start over on a new piece. So what is surprising me the most is how much these pieces evolve and change. I am clearly not being a watercolor purest about it, even adding bits of collaged paper if that’s what it takes. But I enjoy intuitively changing colors often lightening them with white watercolor or gouache. All are not salvable though and plenty are turning into collage scraps.
